on Tuesday, The Food and Drug Administration ordered a mandatory recall of all food products containing powdered kratom. Several of the products manufactured by Triangle Pharmanaturals tested positive for salmonella. The order was issued after the company refused to comply with a voluntary recall. The FDA said its investigators were denied access to the company’s records relating to potentially-affected products. Kratom is widely used a dietary supplement.
